Buffalo Exterminating has been QualityPro Certified since 2004.
How did you get started in the pest management industry?
My ex-wife’s father was in the business.
What is the guiding principal behind your success with your organization?
“Always do our best for those we serve. Whether with customers, suppliers, our people or the environment our performance will consistently be safe, professional, trustworthy and valuable”.
In your opinion, what makes the pest management industry different from other industries?
All the networking that takes place at industry meetings.
Why did your company choose to earn the QualityPro certification?
I remember when John my partner and I first heard about Quality Pro at a meeting and decided immediately that we were that kind of company and would do whatever we needed to get on board. When we first inquired about applying and where to send a check we were told all the details had not been worked out yet.
Overall, what do you think the most valuable aspect of QualityPro is to your company?
Definitely it is internal. Our service and sales teams are proud to be QualityPro Certified; it helps everyone consistently perform at a slightly higher level because there is something to live up to. QualitPro has also helped us in our selection process with the hiring standards.
What’s your forecast for the industry in the next 5 years?
Growth in revenue and professionalism. As Harvey Massey stated, “the tide lifts all boats.”
Tell us your most memorable moment so far in your career in the pest management industry.
To see how our company has grown over the years through everyone’s commitment to follow our “in service to others” principal and to “compromise price and profit rarely and integrity never.”
